Foundation Maas- Binnenvaartmuseum
Tours with a visit of the museum, the harbor and the triple lock by former skippers. The museum contains scale models of old tjalks, ships and tugboats. Regional museum Stevensweert/Ohé en Laak

The regional museum is located in the former town hall from 1858. This building was designed by the architect Pierre Cuypers. Get to know the turbulent and impressive past of Stevensweert and Ohé en Laak in the museum. Important themes are the dredging finds, Jan van Steffeswert, the castle of Stevensweert, castle Walburg, a model of the Stevensweert fortress and the coins of the counts of Van den Bergh. Cuypershuis Roermond

Pierre Cuypers was a well-known architect in the Netherlands. In addition to the Central Station and the Rijksmuseum, he also worked on the renocation and restoration of our Abbey Church for several years around 1860. He also designed the King's throne in the Ridderzaal in 1904.
